Better than Super 8, but ain't no Circa.
The D. It was a stay for sure. I will say that it was really convenient for where it was for our trip. The Uber/cab pick up was great. The room being a corner suite was a beautiful view. We stayed on the 26th floor and we're far enough from Fremont to get away from the noise. The Casino had great games, the Horse races were amazing. Signing up for the Club one is a must for anyone who enjoys the perks. Room was kinda dingy? It had a musky smell, no fan in the bathroom, the shower leaked all over the floor. Not enough towels or pillows, but a quick call fixed that. The TV is weirdly small, and only has like 24 channels. No way to broad cast your phone to it, and it's not a smart TV. The WiFi was non-existent. No plugs near the bed. And not one bartender could make a painkiller or electric lemonade in side the place. The balcony was a great spot to go to though and The D is definitely less packed than most other hotels on Fremont.

Hotel change worth it
We were moved over to Circa, which was absolutely beautiful! Have no opinion of The D since we didn't stay there, although staff was nice about the move.

4/10 Fair

Moved to a smoking room. Security on power trip.
Checked in right at 3:00pm. Got told that I got moved to a “smoking room” and that my room wasn’t ready. I asked their reasoning on being moved to a smoking room (when I had booked a non-smoking room). Front desk told me that since I booked through a third party, (hotels.com) they had the right to move me if they needed to. I was obviously disappointed, but that’s what I get for booking through here I suppose. Front desk told me they’d give me a call when my room was ready. I waited about an hour, so I went to charge my phone. When I went to use an outlet to charge my phone, security (James) was really rude and condescending telling me I couldn’t charge my phone using the outlet. I would have been okay with moving, but he came at me as if I was going to be detained or something. I WOULD have charged my phone in my room, but I was told to my room wasn’t ready. I needed my phone charged so I could receive my call from the front desk notifying me. James had an attitude problem. After waiting an hour for my room, I decided to get back in line to speak to someone. They apologized and told me they weren’t able to call and notify me because they were too busy. So my room had been ready and I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t went up to the front desk again. My room reeked of smoke, as expected. Room was okay on a cleanliness scale. Location of hotel is convenient for The Fremont Experience concert I was attending. Overall, I wouldn’t come back here.
