Long weekend Nice
Nice room, central location, the balcony is more of a Juliet style balcony, you can't sit out with table and chairs, but pleasant.

Perfect Location for F-1 Weekend.
After a week in Northern Italy my wife and I rolled into Nice for 4 days (Monaco GP too). Location is great, beach access (it's rocky in front of the promenade so if ya jump in the water, have sturdy flip flops) great restaurants just up the street. Hotel is a bit old but the price/value made it a no brainer. Staff was super friendly. Dozens of inexpensive spots on Rue Massena. Try La Villa d'Este, it was recommended by locals and was amazing (great wine, huge portions). Decent breakfast spot right next door on the promenade as well. There are more expensive hotels on The Promenade des Anglais with finer creature comforts, but since we're in the room only to sleep, Mercure was more than adequate. If you're staying in Nice for Formula One, train station is a 15 minute walk. We took Uber to Monaco and train back.
