Awesome location, ok room/hotel
The best thing about this hotel was the location - in the heart of town and right next to the castle. The hotel felt old, the room was tiny, and the plumbing was a little awkward. We were there for the night and it met our needs, but I don't think we could have stayed there much longer.

The location is great. It is situated right on princes st and next to an m&s so you can pick up snacks and drinks. The room which faces the street are noisy. We got the rooms in the back which were quiet but the decor is outdated. This hotel needs to be renovated. The elevator we were in got stuck and we had to ring the alarm. The shower head in the bathroom also had a leak and maintenance team wasn't available. We were put in a different room but the bathroom floor plan was horrible. There was only 10 inches of spaces between the toilet and the edge of the tub so if mobility is an issue, request a different room.

The picture shown on the booking was not right.
Our stay was pretty uncomfortable. The picture shown on the booking was not of the hotel but that of a monument nearby. We couldn't even get a ride to drop us at the hotel as the hotel is on princess street is closed to traffic... We had to walk with our luggage from a block away in the rain. The breakfast was bad & not much to choose from.

Convenient with great views
We upgraded to a superior suite and the views are totally worth it! Coffee on the balcony looking at the castle was a daily occurrence. The bathroom had a separate shower and a soaking tub. The bed needed a mattress topper (too firm for me). Breakfast was good.
