Sufficient but not great
This hotel came highly recommended on this website as well as Trip Advisor. Overall, we found it better than average but wouldn't rate it on the level of a luxury hotel. It's a touristy area with similar commercial services: big buffet, good concierge, but not terribly personal. The only time we asked for advice to a dinner spot, we got sent to a tourist-trap, which we ended up leaving before even ordering. The hotel markets great views of the Acropolis, which some rooms may have, but our view was to a back alley. One thing I did not love was the lobby scent - it reeks of strong men's cologne which, granted, may not bother others.

Best spot to stay in Athens
We were visiting from the US for the new year. The Electra Palace was beautiful, in a perfect location. Rooms were large, the bed was super comfortable! Delicious breakfast, and the indoor pool and spa was a real perk, esp since we had some chilly weather.

We loved this hotel!! Beautiful architecture, wonderful service, and great location! The view of the Acropolis from the pool bar and top restaurant was breathtaking! Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was included in our price and was amazing! We were able to walk everywhere to shop, sightsee, and enjoy the marvelous restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this to others.
