Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, Lake Buena Vista

The room was average and smaller than the pic, front desk wait time long. Food is great and staff friendly. Worth the money? No.

Wonderful time easy to get to Disney World parks. Pool was nice and the children look and park area was great

Location was great 3 Miles to everything. Great place if you have a lil kid but not somewhere I’d go if it were just myself and my significant other. Beds were very hard and inside of room was a lil outdated.

This hotel was lovely. The check-in person Aimee was fabulous. Please note that if you are booking a Disney property through Hotels.com it is critical that you provide the number of adults and children so that you can get your Magic Bands. The Magic Bands make your visit much more pleasant because you can use them to enter the park once you have purchased your tickets through Disney Experience, for free parking when visiting the parks, and as your room key. I did not know about the importance of providing the information about the number of children and number of adults on Hotels.com, but Aimee made it all right for us when we arrived at the hotel. Also, there is a refrigerator in the room, but if you want a microwave you have to request it. I am not sure if you can request it when booking the room on Hotels.com but you can definitely do so at check-in. The hotel room we were in was laid out nicely and it was clean. The property is beautifully landscaped. However, I will share with you that as an African-American I found the plantation like architecture off-setting and the uniforms worn by the staff to be unpleasant and reminiscent of times when African-Americans were not treated well. My children who are teenagers also had the same reaction to the architecture and uniforms. I know some people love that architecture, but I am sharing this information so that it can be taken into consideration when considering this property.
