The hotel never confirmed the reservation made through hotels.com, meaning when we arrived to check-in, there was no room reserved for us since the hotel was otherwise completely booked. It ended up by chance there was a cancellation, freeing a room for us, but this situation was nearly disastrous. This was not a good start to our stay. Otherwise, this hotel was adequate. Everything can be fairly described as average (hotel restaurant food, room, amenities). This was fine, since the goal of the trip was to see the Grand Canyon, not to lounge around the hotel.

Clean but dated
Our room was fine in terms of space and cleanliness. The free wifi was spotty, I found I could only access it if I sat at the desk. I would by-pass the restaurant. We ate breakfast buffet which was the most basic and not particularly hot. You pay in advance of eating and we should checked it out first. I would suggest finding an alternative. When I pay $300/night I am accustom to more services, including free breakfast. The price tag on this hotel is clearly because of the lack of competition not for the quality of the experience.

THIS PLACE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE
$309 for a room for one night at what is supposed to be a classy hotel. So they put us in a nice room, we go out to eat, come back wanting to watch a little TV before bed. And the TV doesn't work. Ok send maintenance, right? Wrong, no maintenance on site. Speak to a night manager? Nope, no one here. Give me a break. What ever happened to customer service at a supposedly nice hotel? And then when I complained the woman at the desk she said, "my shift is over, and I'm leaving." And then she hung up the phone on me. What a horrible way to do business! And when I called back the gentleman who answered was equally as useless. They made it absolutely clear that customer service is not a priority for them.

Very middle of the road.. Nothing special except the person at the front desk "Frank" was super sweet.

Disappointing
Overpriced and disappointing. A dark room in a crowded motel that doesn't deserve to call itself a resort.
