The title is misleading - it's more a hostel than a hotel (e.g. no fridges on the room) and hard to get a hold of the staff, no front desk or reception. Right at the main road with traffic noise most of the day and night. Reasonably priced but not worth coming back, sorry.

Our room was very big. There was a fridge that was sadly broken, but the communal kitchen had one anyway so was no issue. The owners were so friendly and extremely helpful. I actually made a mistake with my booking that made it €50 more expensive, but they allowed me to pay the cheaper price which was so nice! Will definately be going back here the next time I come to the Spiel. Pretty easy to get to essen messe from here, just ask the owners! Be careful with you food in the fridge though as some of ours got thrown away in a clean out!
