    Cozy cabin

This was just what we needed for our family of 4. It is tucked away in the redwoods, but just 5 or so minutes from the ocean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

    Hideaway in the Redwoods

We just got back from a 4 night stay at the Kona cabin. We had a wonderful time in this cozy, comfortable and very clean cabin located in the perfect position bordering the Jackson Demonstration State Forest. It is a 2 minute walk to one of the logging roads and you could spend hours exploring. Robert, one of the owners, even turned us onto a map app to use while walking in the forest. He and Heather are great hosts. They responded quickly to our inquiries before our trip and even come out to fix a light bulb that was out during our stay. We have stayed dozens of times in the area from camping to cottages, but this is definitely one of, if not, the best place. The cabin provided all the amenities you could need with the added bonus of a really comfortable king size bed! We are definitely planning a return trip!

    Such a lovely house

This was our second time staying here and it was wonderful. The house sits in the middle of the forest, but is close to the main road. Can't recommend it enough.

A wonderful house with picturesque surroundings

We loved staying here. The house is well-outfitted, cozy, and comfortable, with a full kitchen to prep meals. It's also very close to the highway but remote enough to feel like you're tucked deep in the forest.

    Highly recommend

House is clean and comfortable! It's secluded enough to feel deep in the woods, but literally a few minutes drive to beaches, shopping, food. The owners have added nice little welcoming touches! Love it!!

Perfect place to rest and relax

Cabin was perfect for the two of us. Quiet location but easy access to everything that Fort Bragg/Mendocino has to offer.

    A Wonderful Getaway

This cabin was perfect for exploring the Pacific North Coast. Located in Fort Bragg it is close to many parks and coastal viewing areas. We were also able to go on a fishing charter located at the nearby marina. The cabin itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped and had all we needed. It was so quiet there and we loved the redwood tree right outside our window. It was a wonderful trip.

    Going hiking

Beautiful setting, up to date appliances. Came from Indiana to go hiking, this is a perfect place to visit near by parks and just minutes from the ocean. Hosts answered all of our questions and gave us information on things to see and places to eat. Would rent from them again..... no worries!!! Steve Marcotte

Tucked away in the giant trees.

We enjoyed our month here. The cabin is simple, but has everything. Not fancy, but exactly what we like. The quiet and the redwoods were a wonderful surprise. Jackson State Forest is right out the door. Great for dog walking. We mostly had it to ourselves. Heather and Robert are very friendly and helpful. Our first trip to this part of the world. Good scenery, seafood restaurants and brewpubs. That works for us. No whale sightings, but a few spouts in the distance one day. The coastline is amazingly rugged and picturesque. We were there in a really rainy season, but yet always managed to see what we wanted to see during lulls in the showers. We got a few sunny days. We were really happy to find this place. Thanks to Heather and Robert. Mike and Joanie.
