SHG Hotel Portamaggiore, Rome
Poor2.0
Terrible
There were six of us in three rooms. One room had mildew and a terrible odor in the bathroom. Staff was not helpful. We asked for a taxi they said 5 minutes, after 20 we went back and it had been canceled and no one told us. The terrace was pretty, but the bar did not have many things on the menu even after a couple days of asking (Bloody Mary mix) and Lemoncello, which is second most popular drink in Italy. The drinks and we did order were terrible and came out one by one. So by time the last person got their drink the others were finished. Also there were groups of teenagers running up and down hall and when told they did not send anyone for a long time. Terrible hotel, the only positive was it was near metro. The closest decent restaurant s we’re more than 1/2 mile away. Also, the towels were like thin dish towels. Not even cotton

Great Location and Room
The hotel is within walking to the Roma Termini station, which makes it easy to get to any point in the city. Our room was large and comfortable and there is also a beautiful terrace. Breakfast offers a variety of options. When we checked in, there was a long line but other than that our experience was exceptional.
