Not Family Friendly Plus Hidden Fees
We just took our 3 kids to Universal and stayed here. Here is my honest review .. We chose this hotel for specific reasons: 1. It was close to Universal (free shuttle) 2. It was within our budget 3. It allowed dogs 4. It had a pool How it went: 1. I had 2 parking options. Pay $33 for self park or $37 for valet (per day). When I asked about a street parking option she said there really wasn't one and it would be down the street and around the corner if I found one. We paid the fee. 2. They had a $200 deposit requirement in case we broke anything in the room 3. If we wanted a microwave in the room it was an extra $10 a night (we have a child who has sensory eating issues and we needed to heat things so we paid the fee) 4. I needed to sign a document stating my dog was under 40 pounds and that he would never be left unattended in our room (said he could disturb the guests). When I explained that we had no idea and planned to leave him there while we took our kids to Universal she said, "Go to our store and they will provide you with our onsite dog sitting service info". Yes, they did, and the price of the sitter cost us $385. We were forced to pay it or not take our kids to Universal and we already had tickets. Our experience .. the elevator was outside our door. People were loud/laughing, waking my kids after hours. Outside our balcony was the dumpster/delivery zone (ugly!) Also loud at all hours. But they thought my dog would bother others!

I really enjoyed our stay except for one issue. We received a notice under our door on Saturday that breakfast would not be available Sunday AM due to Mother's Day brunch. I am totally fine with that but not having a microwave accessible unless you pay $10 is ridiculous. I did not even want one in my room. Just one I could use one time.

Amazing staff
One of the best hotel experiences we've had--everyone we met on the staff was super friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Can't think of anything that stood out as a complaint. OK, maybe the neighborhood is a tad noisy, but you are right next to the 101 and in a flight path for Burbank airport. The air conditioner covers most of that though :-) Highly recommend this hotel!

Family trip to Universal Studios
Amazing hotel. Very Palm Springs feel. Staff was beyond helpful and everyone was very friendly. Very convenient to have free shuttle to Universal Studios. Having the separate bunk bed area for my to teens was exactly what was needed as well. Definitely will stay again.
