Only meets basic needa
We booked for our family of 5. I had requested a cot in advance but they ran out of them so one of us had to sleep on the floor. The shower/tub didn’t drain properly so we decided not to use it.

Shabby, rude front desk upon checkin, entire place needs an update. Name of hotel was in small letters over a huge Dennys sign. Completely dark in front so missed the location. Tried to call and no answer

Upsetting
We have stayed at this hotel previously and loved our stay prior to moving to VA 3 years ago. We decided to use it as a last stop on our way out of state before beginning our new location during PCS the intention was for a full nights rest before a 22 hour hike down south. Unfortunately this was not the case this go around. There’s been plenty of renovations and they’re beautiful compared to 3 years ago. We were exhausted upon arrival and thought we could ignore the issues but accumulatively they ended up causing health issues. Example - little one had a bloody nose and all of us left with a sore throat. The renovations must’ve skipped out on functionality, while changing the interior to be aesthetically pleasing. The room was pretty nice, but VERY Humid and felt stuffy and the radiator wasn’t broken but it was on its way out, it was LOUD. We couldn’t sleep at all. During checkout the couple ahead of us also complained about the same issues. The pool was dirty and full of chlorine to the point we had sore throat’s leaving the area to! The hot tub was empty and not blocked off which was a hazard for our autistic son who almost fell into it twice. Needless to say we did not have a good experience nor full nights rest. We ended up getting a place in the next state to makeup for lost time. The only positive part of our stay was the friendly receptionists. The coffee was really good! Breakfast was simple.

Fine for a short stay
Overall a pleasant stay - room and property were fine. Only complaint was the sink and bathtub could use a good unclogging.

Felt a bit rundown
Overall the hotel is okay. There is a sense and smell there that I associate with older hotels. While it was maintained, it felt dingy and run-down. We were staying two nights and decided to spend the second night in a different hotel.
