Extremely disappointed long time Hyatt customer
I frequently stayed at this hotel for business travel over the years and did not experience any dissatisfaction. My last stay was in 2017. However my overnight personal trip was extremely disappointing. The hotel bathroom was filthy with floor that clearly not been mopped, a shower stall that had not been properly cleaned still with residue from the last customer, the wash cloths had long hairs in them, and that was just the bathroom. Without going into exhausting details, let me point out that some type of large phlegm was on the wall next to the desk. The heater even when turned down to 18C would not cool. The noisy heater fan ran all night and it felt like 30C the entire time. Considering that this is a Hyatt Regency, i would expect a room like this to not be in the available inventory to guests. At checkout, the front desk representative was not empowered nor interested in taking more details or resolving my issues. I felt like I was being hushed so that other guests checking in wouldn’t hear my experience. I suspect that if rooms are being offered in this condition that you should rethink staying at this property. On the plus side, the breakfast was delicious as always.

Would stay again
This was our second stay in this hotel over the past three months. It has a nice atmosphere when you walk in. The elevators are not nice, they made me nervous. The rooms are all in the process of getting updated. When we stayed this time, we had a tiled stand up shower, which was super nice. From our experience, you can’t have a bad view in this hotel. Bed was comfy, room was not the largest/not the smallest but was clean. Definitely would stay again (WiFi, parking and location)

Do not recommend.
Positives. - Hotel location is close to Toronto's entertainment area. Many restaurants and easy to get around. - Staff at the Hotel's bar were very friendly. Negatives: - It must have been my bad luck. The person who handled the check in and check out happened to be the same person. Quite arrogant and obnoxious. At the time of check-in, he asked: "Why are you in Toronto". Why? instead of welcoming to Toronto and enjoy your stay. I think I asked a simple question at the checkout. Do I need ticket or receipt to move my car from Parking Garage? the answer was, " If your car is in the garage and you have your car keys. You do not a ticket. Wow! - Room's design was the 1990s . Red & White drawers. Two very tiny drawers that you can hardly store any clothes in it. - Lastly. The most uncomfortable pillows. My neck still hurts after two days.
