The staff was friendly and helpful, it was close to the airport. We arrived 2 hours late at 1:30 am the first day and then we had a 7 am flight when we left, so being so close was helpful. However, it was tough to take public transportation to all the places we wanted and food delivery to the hotel was kind of limited.

My spouse and I, have been to this property known as the Holiday Inn on Woodson, which is now, the DoubleTree Hilton for many years. We always come in December or January on our way to Mexico and return for our trip back. On February 28, 2023, the shuttle, a small van was inexcusable. We called for our shuttle and waited for 30 minutes. Another couple waiting had no idea they were supposed to call for the shuttle otherwise they may still be at the airport. The driver John was not at all helpful. He implied we were trying to go to a Holiday Inn 9 miles away. Knowing that we knew where we were going we told him several times we needed the DoubleTree on Woodson which used to be a Holiday Inn. John then took us back routes and picked another couple. It was getting close to 9:15. John the driver stopped immediately in the DoubleTree drive and asked the first couple from Jerseyville Illinois where their car was parked and they said right here. All of the 4 other passengers got out. One of them said are you not getting out and I said no we needed to be driven to the front of the hotel my husband who is 88 and has the poor vision needed to be dropped off at the front of the hotel. John, the driver was inappropriate from the moment he picked us up to demanding we be dropped off at the front of the hotel instead of the middle of the parking lot. We checked in with only minutes to get something to eat from the Restaurant that closed at 10. We were told by the bartender no food at 9:40.
