When we arrived to check in, we were told that the hotel was overbooked and we would need to find a room at another hotel. After a few minutes of confusion, the receptionist told us that she did have a room for us after all, and we were able to check in as planned. The next night, the fire alarms were set off around 8pm and we had to wait outside in the parking lot for at least 10 minutes while the fire department investigated what had set them off and gave the all clear. I understand the fire alarm situation was out of the hotel's control, but it still made our stay more stressful than expected, and combined with the less-than-stellar service we received upon check in, it left us feeling certain that we wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Will not use this property again very inconvenient
Pretty bad experience. First they lost our reservation and had to downsize our room no coffee available after 9:30 on both Sunday and Monday restaurant was closed on Monday morning so we could not get breakfast and the lounge did not open at all on Sunday night fire alarm went off on Saturday night and we were left outside for an hour the staff definitely did not make us feel like we were welcome. The response was we are understaffed and some kid must have pulled the fire alarm

Holland Hotel Nightmare
The hotel was dirty and smelled terrible. The hotel was under construction and it was very dirty. The pool looked green and was bubbling like a hot spring. We saw the guy checking the levels of the pool and he told us it was “clarity problems” but you couldn’t see the bottom and the water was green. The sheets and blankets in our room were dirty.

No Electricity- Please refund.
The power went out on Thursday around 2 PM. No emergency lights in the stairwells. It was pitch black. I stayed until 530 and they said they didn’t know when it would be turned back on. I told them I was leaving and asked for a refund. They said their computers were down. Not sure how that works since I booked through but I would like a refund for Thursday night at the least.

DoubleTree September
The hotel makes you schedule housekeeping a day in advance and we did so. The maid stopped by about 15 minutes before we were going to leave, so we asked that she come back later. Later in the day when we returned we found the room was never cleaned, so had to sleep on dirty sheets. On a positive note the front desk responded quickly with fresh towels after we called.
