South of the Tracks :-(
No choice but to take a room at this hotel. My biggest problem was the price. It's a shame the rooms cost so much during peak times. $300 per night for this hotel that normally is $75 to $85 is robbery. Lobby is clean but the room was gross. Floors were sticky and ac had mold build up at the vents. I will not return again, rather stay in my car.

Broken promises
I called ahead to make sure the pool was available for our trip, and they assured me it was. My foster daughter loves to swim, and she was on dialysis for 4 years and couldn’t go in the water. Now she has a new kidney and after a year is allowed to go into a public pool. Boy, was she excited! It would be worth the $175 for 2 days. We arrived at the hotel and went straight for the pool. The carpet in our room was still wet from being cleaned, so that would give it time to dry, we thought. There was no one in the pool so we had it to ourselves. It didn’t take long to realize that the pool was empty for a reason. There was all manner of debris floating around, and cigarette butts IN and around the pool! I politely told the young man at the front desk And he immediately went out to take care of it. We would try again tomorrow. In the morning I checked the pool, and it was still last looking very scummy, and there were STILL cigarette butts all around the edges. I politely informed the lady at the front desk, with the manager standing right there with her. She said the pool would be cleaned and ready when we got back from our meeting. It never was. I’m not the type to have a fit, I was polite but persistent, and the friendly folks did nothing. It was very disappointing. This sweet child just wanted to swim before her next 3 surgeries, and instead she sat in a room with a wet rug ( it never dried) watching cartoons. I’m still shaking my head.

Great staff!
Came down to pick up my daughter from college. The hotel is a little dated but the staff was very friendly and their service was excellent!!

Good value stay
Interiors are clean and updated. That applies to the room and lobby/breakfast area. Location can be a bit noisy if there are a lot of cars, but that was not an issue for us. Carpet in the room could use a deep cleaning as my bare feet did get dirty fairly quickly... Breakfast was good - happened to have potato cakes that morning. Very close to shopping and the University is not too far of a drive.

Very Good8.0
Nice, clean, friendly but noisy location.
Facility nicely redone, staff very nice. Room clean as a pin. However, there's only so much you can do with a refurb. The slide lock didn't work properly on our door. Also the traffic sounds from the road were crazy all night and apparently there's a helicopter tour or something nearby? Every few minutes you can hear a helicopter take off and fly around.
