I booked 2 nights originally, but I had to change my itinerary to stay only 1 night. The first night I asked the front desk manager if we could cancel for a refund without a charge ("Yes.") and whether I need change it through Hotels.com, but she said that this was not necessary. We can get a full refund for the cancelled second night through the hotel. Next day, I checked out and asked for a receipt. But, front desk clerk, (a very nice lady) couldn't give us the receipt. This worried me, so she hand wrote and signed a receipt confirming that we checked out on the 6th. Now, one week later, we're waiting for a refund for the night, but nothing happened. I contacted Hotels.com, and they informed me that the manager from Tru by Hilton has to give us the refund. We called Hotels.com, and they got the request, but they aren't processing it This is not acceptable. If the desk clerk at Tur by Hilton had not given me incorrect information, I could have changed my itinerary by contacting to Hotels.com. So, we ended up staying one night and paying for two. I'm very disappointed this hotel's management's inconfidence.
