Clean Room
The staff was friendly. The room and lobby were clean. The hot breakfast bar was great. The unlocked door at the side of the hotel which we and other guest entered was disturbing to me since our room was the room nearest to the outside entrance. One side of the double doors was never locked. There were men screaming outside repeatedly during the first evening of our stay.

Reasonable and an inexpensive option
Check-in was smooth and easy. Room was clean overall. Bed seemed like it was sagging due to wear. Breakfast was basic but fine.

Dingy, depressing, disappointing even for the price
Can’t believe this place got an 8.3 rating. The facility is just terrible. Exterior is dirty red-brown brick that looks like public housing. The windows and patio doors are filthy. It looks as if an attempt was made at nice landscaping in the courtyard, but it hasn’t been kept up. Our room - a “suite” - had a dingy chairs, brown carpet & orange drapes that looked as if they were from the 70’s, then incongruous bright red accent walls, old beat-up coffee table, cabinet & desk. Smelled like mold & old cleaning fluid. The saving grace was an amazingly comfortable bed. We arrived late & hadn’t eaten and so were looking forward to the advertised hot breakfast - there is a lovely dining area that looked promising. Another disappointment- it was awful. Couldn’t even stomach the hot food - even the toast was the cheapest white bread possible. Ended up eating the only safe thing - Raisin Bran. Bananas were old & brown. Milk wasn’t cold & tea water was lukewarm. Seriously - brought a couple pieces of fatty bacon back for our dog, & she spit it out. No wonder, though the hotel was full (looked like a lot of hurricane Florence refugees), nobody was in the breakfast room. It seems hard to find dog-friendly hotels in the area, and the price was cheap, but we’ve stayed in plenty of similar or slightly higher price range places that are 100x nicer. On the plus side, staff was courteous & professional. Give them an A. I hate writing bad reviews. But this was our experience.

Convenience & Great Cost
In Raleigh to see a play and wanted to stay near the Little Theater. This spot was perfect. Craig & Andre at the front desk were helpful re: the directions that we needed. The room was immaculate as was the hotel in general. A complimentary full breakfast buffet included in our stay. The price was also great. Would definitely stay there again.

Dog friendly, people friendly, skip the breakfast
We stayed at this Ramada with our family and two small dogs. Very happy with the dog friendly environment as there was a grassy area behind the hotel to walk them. Wish there were doors on the sink/dressing area because you can't run the blow dryer without waking everyone up. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Carlos was on duty and very friendly and willing to help with our needs (I was using the door key wrong and he helped as well as providing me with extra towels). The only real down side I can mention about the actual hotel is that it is aging and was partially under construction. The biggest frustration was the absolutely terrible breakfast! It was so bad that we didn't use our breakfast coupons the second morning and just ran out to McDonalds and brought it back to the hotel. Location to NC State campus was perfect and close to the Cheesecake Factory was a huge plus too!
