Nice older hotel. Good value for the money.
Carpeting, walls, furniture have been recently redone. Being an older cylinder block construction building, sound does travel through the walls. Had a room next to the stairs and the older metal stairs made plenty of noise. Mattress was a bit too firm. Didn't have much staff contact, but they were great. My room was pre-paid, but my credit card was charged upon check out. Contacted hotel and they corrected the problem right away.

Hotel perks
Just a one night stay each way from our vacation but a very nice place. Food, Bar & if you stay the right night you even have entertainment. Free shuttle service to and from the airport. ( no matter what time you fly in)

GF weekend visit
Two major Pluses about this hotel are the room sizes and the pool area. We had a Standard two queen bed room. It almost had running room for the kids and a fridge/microwave. The pool area was great for the family as they have a 8-10' circle that is about 1-1.5' feet deep for little kids. The Hot tub area was massive and had plenty of room for the kids to swim around. The major negatives about this hotel is the parking, breakfast, quality of workmanship in rooms. The hotel has a large green space around the building which causes the parking lot to be 50-60 feet from the door to the side of the building. This is not nice when it's below zero and you're packing/unpacking the car. There is no breakfast included, there was a restaurant that offers one for extra $$. We chose to go out to the McDonald's that is a couple blocks away instead. Finally the room finish, seems the cheapest guy got the job. The sink/mirror area had gaps to the wall where it was not even and other areas were not finished well. We chose the hotel due to the pictures of the Pool area as this was a big need with the kids, having no breakfast was extra expense that is covered at other hotels.

The front desk receptionist told me that since I booked my stay with "icky people", referring to online 3rd party booking company, there's no telling what kind of room I would be staying in.
