The Whitehall Hotel, Chicago
3 Night Stay at the Whitehall Hotel
Rooms needed some type of a dresser, there were no drawers (only 2) and only a few hangers my wife and I kept 90% of our clothes in our suitcases. Staff was excellent and we enjoyed the boutique feel of the hotel. You cannot beat the location!

Good location with elegant comfort.
Beautiful hotel, when visiting the Drake it seemed as if comparing the titanic to the elegance of a new cruise liner: nice stay.

The hotel was old, dated and falling apart in certain places in my room.

Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.
The location of the hotel was great, along with the staff that were had encountered. Downside of the visit was the room: The A/C seemed to do whatever it wanted; there was a point in the night where it was set to 70 but yet the actual temp in the room was 80!! The walls are paper thin, everytime someone walked out of their room and let their door slam, we would hear it. Also, the mattress was very hard and not comfortable. The bathroom was dated, with the wall paper tearing off the walls right when you walk in. The finishing touch was the last minute note that was shoved under our room door stating that ALL OF THE WATER WAS GOING TO BE SHUT OFF from 11a to 3p the following day. The whole next morning we were rushing around to ensure that we would be ready in time for the massive water shut off. It was surprising that nothing was offered for the inconvenience, not even the $4 bottle of Fiji water they just had to charge me for. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very comfortable room and friendly staff. It could have used softer toilet tissue.
