Royal Garden Hotel, London

We had a great stay overall. The location is amazing - right on the Palace Green and Hyde Park, and there is everything you could possibly need in the neighborhood (including Whole Foods, which was great for us, traveling with small kids and needing basics each day, plus they have prepared foods.) Something that was a very pleasant surprise for us is that they supplied real baby cribs (portable and compact, but made from wood with comfy mattresses,) and not the typical pack n'play/travel cot that most hotels and vacation rentals provide. Our kids slept very well for this reason, which was huge for us, as this is the one of the biggest issues when traveling with babies or toddlers who sleep in cribs at home. Our only complaints are that they did not accommodate our early check-in request, wifi was not free, and the doors are very heavy, so if you happen to want to sleep into the morning, the maids make a ton of noise and is a lot of door slamming. We would stay again.

Kensington Gem
The room was lovely and large with a separate seating area by the large windows. The room had all the mod cons with a refrigerator, hair dryer, very good air conditioning and/or heating, etc. The location is ideal as it's near the tube, the bus stop (outside our door) and tons of good restaurants.

Dated on the High Street
I came for a business trip and have stayed here before. The location is right on Kensington High St - but that is about it. I had a very unpleasant experience with a rude front desk "trainee" who is clearly not cut out for the hospitality industry. I insisted on speaking to her manager, and frankly, neither is he. Their tone and attitude was unacceptable to me. The staff in the cafe was lovely and helpful. But the front desk is not. Room service is also not great. I would not return to this hotel. Typical for London, a Queen room is tiny. It's a busy hotel, lots of conferences held there, and the requisite tourists and families.

Kensington luxury
Our stay was very comfortable. Our view from our window was of the Kensington palace. Very nice! The only complaint is that wifi was an additional cost. Other than that it was wonderful and luxurious!
