We stayed, on New Years Eve, after a Columbus Blue Jackets hockey game and before a comedy show in the same area. To start off, we booked a King sized bed and ended up in a room with two full-sized beds, otherwise the stay was excellent.
The only true complaint is how the valet service worked at checkout. Upon check in, we were told to send a text to a provided number 10-15 minutes before we need the car, which we did 10-15 minutes before we left that evening to attend the comedy event. The car was there waiting by when we arrived in the lobby.
So, 15 minutes before we headed down to check out we sent the required text. When we got to the lobby near the valet area, it was crowded, so we stood off to the side. We didn’t want to block someone else that needed to talk to the valet. Nearly 20 minutes passed without the car, but with the number of people waiting that didn’t seem excessive. About that time, a valet noticed us and asked for out ticket number. That’s when we realized they weren’t checking the texts - THEY HAD NO IDEA WE WERE WAITING - to his credit, when I showed him when the text was sent he dropped everything else and got our car. Needless to say, I was NOT PLEASED and remain aggravated over the situation. The valet that noticed us did a great job, he’s the only reason I haven’t sent a complaint up the chain of command.
