Okay stay. Great breakfast.
First my room was not available when I arrived, so they gave me another room which that was available (sub par room). I found this room to be a bit dirty and smelly, especially the bathroom. Instead of complaining, I decided to make the best of it. After my 4th night in this room, the hotel finally figured out that this room was not originally intended for me. DUH!. So they decided to move me to another room (without telling me). This second room was upgraded (which was what I originally paid for) - but the air unit was not working. After complaining to the front desk twice that my air unit was not working, they told me that they will send a technician to look at it...which they never did. Just lucky that my stay during those days the temperature outside was not too hot. Over all stay, the breakfast was very good, but the rooms was horrible!

5-star no more, but clean and comfy for the price!
You can see, if you look closely, that this hotel was once a 5-star accommodation. However, those days have sadly passed. For the price and location there really wasn't much to complain about, but for the advertised 5-stars we would have expected a working shower drain, coffee/tea maker, and an actual vanity in the bathroom (the front panel of ours was a crooked, poorly nailed in slab of wood). The "king mattress" was two twins next to each other under the same fitted sheet, which we didn't encounter at any of the 4-star hotels we stayed at elsewhere on this vacation. The building definitely has rich history and you can see what once was underneath the chipped paint and bulging wall studs, but if you're looking for something similar to the photos you'll have to lower your expectations a little or search elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are okay with a little shabbiness, you really can't beat the price or the location. Sheets were clean. AC worked. Shower was hot. No bedbugs. For the nightly price, I'd call it a win. Definitely a memorable experience and something we will laugh about in the future.
