Pity...beautiful place but service lacking
Beautiful hotel and property. However, management appears to understaff or completely not staff certain areas. We would have spent a lot more money had there been food and beverage service on the patio and at the pool area. Having to walk a half mile up 3 flights of stairs and go inside in pool attire to order anything is a vacay mood killer. There are just too many other places that offer better service for summer vacationers. We met lots of other families who were on staycations who commented they could stay home and visit their own pool for much cheaper if there is no service available. We also encountered quite a few staff either doing 3 peoples jobs or staff members who were flippant, not caring or sitting on their cell phone versus working. Finding good staff is hard but having no customers makes it harder. The property is amazing, and I would like to come back but I would hesitate unless they address service issues. Will try the Westward look next time.

Super lovely but.....
Excellent in all respects, from the pools to the beds to the dining to the landscapes to the golf......except for the glitch with my apple ipad not being able to send or receive emails, and play games. After talking to tech support twice, it still didn’t improve and several employees said they were working on improving Wi-Fi service overall.

Dirty and Unsafe
Westin La Paloma was a great disappointment. Our sheets were dirty, apparently they reused the sheets from the previous guest because they were covered in fresh lipstick smudges. The golf course was in horrendous condition. The fairways were mostly dirt, the greens were slow and bumpy. I've seen municipal golf courses maintained by inmates that were in much better condition. The grounds of the resort were littered with garbage. The pool area was filthy; soiled towels, half eaten food, and other garbage littered the pool area as teenage employees stood around playing on their phones. It was apparent to my wife and I that many of the people using the pools weren't even guests. The crowd seemed very rough and we heard a lot of vulgarity. Four police officers came and arrested a homeless gentleman that was sitting poolside. The man was disheveled, and somehow was able to make his way into the resort and then claim a prime poolside seat. The police searched the man's bag and it appeared to have found narcotics. Westin La Paloma is the worst resort in Tucson
