Not a place I would stay again
Traveling as chaperone with a group of high school athletes, the coach booked a block of rooms so I stayed here. I feel like this is one of those places whose motto is "as little as we can possibly get away with." I had to take a long look at the sink basin to determine if someone had cleaned a diaper and left a mess behind -- it turned out to be oxidation / rust. The lock on the door was temperamental -- I had to try the card several times to get it to unlock. At some point someone had repaired and repainted the bathroom ceiling about as well as I would have done when I was an obstinate teen. And the cost wasn't much less than much nicer budget chains. Knights Inn has become the baseline to which we will compare our hotel stories from now on -- "at least this is nicer than Knights Inn!"

The service was less than impressive.
The smoke detector started chirping with a dead battery in the middle of the night. When I called the front desk, I was made to come get the replacement battery myself at the desk (an outside walk in winter) and had to replace it myself.

If all you want to do is sleep, you could do worse
So we show up at 1:30 am tired after 6 hours in the car, its cold and raining... Front door locked with sign... Rang bell (once per the sign) and waited 5 minutes.. nothing... Banged on the door and finally the front desk clerk appears, had obviously been sleeping.. and wont open the front door and check us in like a normal person because of "security".. I say i just gave you my drivers license and my credit card and I have a reservation, so you know who I am, that doesnt seem to phase him as he now acts like he doesnt understand english and only bounces his head from side to side... Room was decent, beds were comfortable, picked up the 1980's phone in the room to call front desk and make a wake up call... Nope!! the phones dont work... Called the front desk directly on my cell phone.. never answered... assumed clerk was back to sleep. Woke up at 7:15 went immediately to the lobby for the 'free breakfast'.. Front door STILL locked.. Rang bell (once per the sign), at least this time the clerk showed up pretty quick and did actually open the door... but said breakfast would be ready at 7:30.. I pointed to the sign that said the breakfast was served from 7am... he gave me the I dont understand bouncing head thing again.. We had to leave before 7:30, so no breakfast for us... Cant say I recommend.. but I suppose it could have been worse.
