Beautiful hotel, service ok.
Nice hotel overall. If you’re booking a cottage, be aware. They show photos of a cottage suite when booking a regular cottage. This is false advertising. They literally show photos of a higher room category just to get you to book it. The room I actually got was not worth what I paid. Had I known what I was actually going to get, I wouldn’t have booked it. Pool service is not good. The workers there act like they’re doing you a big favor. Our waitress at Renatas restaurant was very good. Ate at McArthurs restaurant twice, happened to get the same server both times and she was horrible. Did not smile at all and spoke in a very grumpy voice. Not very eco friendly. They didn’t have a sign to put on the bed to not have your sheets changed if you didn’t want it. I requested to have my room serviced at 8am while I was walking my dog. They confirmed, but when I got back at 9am it wasn’t done. I received a message at 1pm saying they were trying to clean my room but my dog was there. They said they don’t start cleaning until 9am. Well they should have told me that when I called at 8am, or at least they should have come at 9am when they started. They seem more focused on booking conventions, seminars and events. The weekend I was there, there was an 1100 person spiritual seminar, a 200 person business seminar plus a wedding all the same weekend.

5 Star resort with 3 star rooms
The grounds of this hotel are beautiful and the amenities are excellent. Unfortunately the rooms are no better than a holiday in. $850 per night is crazy for rooms like that.

Beautiful grounds and a safe location. Tons of pools with towel and water. Great fitness center. Not enough staff at valet and bell service. My bag sat outside unsecured for over an hour before I decided to just bring it up myself.

4/10 Fair

From the minute we arrived to be told to take our own bags to the room as a bellman would take an hour, then having our room unavailable and when we did get in the next day, the room was sub-par. Had to ask for housekeeping twice. Just felt that they would rather make excuses that getting it right in the first place. Would defiantly not stay there again.

8/10 Very Good

Beautiful outdoors spaces. Rooms are average for Hilton. Restaurant, McArthur’s, disappointing in terms of menu, service, food quality (eat somewhere else). Bed very lumpy. One sink in bathroom doesn’t drain. This is a very expensive and historic hotel, but didn’t quite meet expectations.
