Never again
I was very disappointed in our stay at Red Carpet Inn and Suites this past weekend. I had chosen the hotel because of the great reviews and the fact that I was told the pool was up and running. I booked two queen suites. When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the pool was indeed NOT available for swimming. The dismay felt by my children when they realized they were not going to be able to swim was heartbreaking. I tried to make the best of it and said "Let's go check out the rooms!" To my surprise, the rooms weren't in much better shape. The beds had permanent indents down the center of each one. This made for a long night.
In room 220, the faucet had only a trickle of water and the toilet barely flushed. There was food on the floor from previous guests and crumbs in the beds. On the remote was dried-on food. I was thoroughly disgusted. The dressers were broken and the smoke detectors were taken off the ceiling and placed in a drawer, leaving holes in the ceiling were they originally were.
I reserved room 213 for my parents, as it was my mother's birthday. Their room was not much better. They did not have any wash cloths or cups and the room was dirty. The beds in this room were also very worn.
The reviews for the hotel said continental breakfast was provided; that turned out to be false as well. It was advertised at the front desk that there would be coffee--that was not available either. The vending machines were out of order and so was the ice machine.
