Upon check in the hotel did not have my reservation which had been prepaid months prior. The third party never provides the hotel with my booking information.

Hidden fees
$125 of added fees for “check in” and “resort fee” were charged by the hotel even though hotels.com had assured us we were all paid up (except taxes). Additionally, cleaning and other concerns have been farmed out to a non-hotel 3rd party because some rooms are privately owned which also was not disclosed to us at the time hotels.com booking. It was confusing and distressing to be caught between Ala Moana hotel and hotels.com.

I love how the hotel was next to the mall, resturants and walking distance to the beach. The hotel was super friendly and helpful especially while my booking through Expedia had an issue with the 3rd party Hostie who was not returning my calls to confirm my stay with Ala Moana. DON'T EVER make arrangements with Hostie!

It was very clean and attractive. Very comfortable. We did not have any extras such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. There was no iron and ironing board. No dishes, utensils, etc. in the kitchenette. However, that’s probably considered in offering the lower price. We had no wash cloths. We had the most important things though which was a clean and comfortable place with a nice view.
