8/10 Very good

Small but clean.
We were there for 4 nights. The standard room (218) was small, hard to get past the table and bed. Very clean.

4/10 Fair

We were very disappointed.
Being off season weren’t happy about having us go from the parking lot to our room on the other side of the building. Wi-Fi was terrible. Our 3 day stay and we didn’t see any housekeepers. Checked with the front office and said they don’t send anyone unless requested. So we asked for someone the next day and no one came. Had a note in our room saying if we wanted someone to have new towels just leave them on the ground. With that notice use would expect some one to come and check, didn’t happen. We were very disappointed. As seniors we should have been given a room closer to our parking area.

The stay was fine. The only issue was we got a room with 2 double beds instead of 2 queens but all-in-all the hotel was fines.

Older, needs updating, but an okay stay.
I'll preface this by saying that there aren't many places to stay in Nauvoo. I'm surprised we were able to get a room directly in Nauvoo because this was a pretty last minute stay. We choose to stay here to save driving time (versus driving in from Fort Madison). It's a nice enough hotel, but it could use some updating. Cleaning could use some help. There was tangled hair sucked into the back of the hair dryer. While the sheets were clean, there were still stains on them (again, not fresh staining, sheets were definitely laundered). There was no phone in the room to call for an extra blanket or pillow. There were weird and musty smells throughout the hotel. It's an old building, so I get it, but I might not choose to stay here again when prices are at a premium (in July during the pagents). The beds weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. Definitely not worth $200+/night. The staff was great when we checked in though. Gave us a couple of menus for some local places and advised us which place was super expensive. I'd stay again, but in of season when prices are more realistic.
