Traffic around Antwerp was horrendous. Friday afternoon with roadworks, but the drive was well worth it. We had travelled over for the weekend for the Flower Parade in Lisse on the Saturday and The Keukenhof was Sunday. Arriving at the accommodation, surrounded by flowers growing in the fields and the floral perfume wafting in the breeze, wow. Our hosts were very attentive, showing us around and then leaving us to our own devices, but with the proviso that should we require anything, just call. Breakfast was delivered in the morning at the agreed time. Presented in a basket and was lovely. The accommodation had a very comfortable double bed on a mezzanine floor, a double sofa and we'll equipped bathroom. The only negative on the entire visit was the narrow, very steep stairs up to the mezzanine, but that's just us. (Slightly older and not as sprightly as we used to be). Three great night's and four days in The Netherlands.
