    Union Station

    Union Station offers a mall-like shopping experience inside an iconic train station with over 100 specialty shops and services, an outdoor market, entertainment options, and eateries. This mall underwent an $80 million investment recently and, since 2018, has become a major shopping and entertainment destination where you can find big names and local offerings all in one space. For those who want to take a break from store-hopping, you can head for the Pinstripes entertainment stop, where you can throw ten pins of bowling, play games, and have a meal.

    Georgetown is a destination unto itself and is just 11 minutes from downtown Washington. This mall adds an extra touch of fun and whimsy to the neighborhood.

    DC USA

    Go where all the big-box department stores are

    DC USA is a shopping mall with big-box stores offering name brands and local brands and is the place to go for appliances, department stores, and housewares. It's in the premium Columbia Heights neighborhood and hard to miss. It is the place to go if you're looking for stores like Bed, Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, Best Buy, or Target. It's a very popular mall, and the parking lot can fill up quickly, so be sure to plan for that before you head down to visit.

    The mall has a full food court to grab a meal while you're here. It's just 10 minutes from the center of downtown.

    The Crystal City Shops is an underground shopping emporium that is one of the top destinations in the area, offering fashion, food, health and beauty, and other treasures. Here you can find everything from discount and casual to premium and luxurious. That extends from the stores like the Relaxation Station and Engraving Shop to Schakolad Chocolate Factory to the eateries like Morton's Steakhouse and McCormick & Schmick's Seafood. This is the place to come to check out a ton of boutique-style gift and specialty stores you won't find at many other malls.
