Ruidoso

Ruidoso is a New Mexico village in the Sierra Blanca mountains offering ski resorts, national forest trails, waterfalls, gaming and many historic buildings dating back hundreds of years. The Ski Apache resort offers ski runs of widely varying skill levels as well as a terrain park. A trip to Lincoln National Forest offers waterfalls, serene green space and hiking trails. At the Lincoln Historic Site, a collection of 19th-century stone and adobe buildings including a church and store are on display to visit as well as a museum detailing the purpose of the site.

For family fun, Pillow’s Funtrackers offer go-karts, a maze, mini-golf and other fun activities. Ruidoso Winter Park offers zipper lines, snow tubing and snow-based fun. Adventure Mountain features a video arcade, galactic gulf, indoor bazooka ball, a laser maze and fun attractions and games for kids and grown-ups. More adult fun can be had at Noisy Water Winery with tastings of locally made vintages. Grindstone Lake offers a serene escape from the crowds surrounded by beautiful unspoiled nature.
