The Smithsonian National Museum of American History displays an incredible collection of American memorabilia and artifacts, including iconic American lunchboxes, Southern Railway locomotive No. 1401, and the Star Spangled Banner Flag that inspired the famous poem. The museum also has a George Washington statue that was created for display in the Rotunda of the Capitol building.

Other highlights of the museum include a colonial house, a permanent exhibit on the First Ladies of America, and the car from Disneyland’s Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride. The outdoor space has a sculpture garden with numerous abstract, stainless steel, and granite sculptures.
