House of Blues Orlando is one of the most famous nightlife venues at Disney World Resort – if not in the entire Central Florida region. It packs in an impressive line-up of artists from around the world. As well as having a huge hall for the big concerts, House of Blues doubles up as a casual restaurant in the daytime, with plenty of seating options if you want a few drinks in the evening.

This really is an Orlando nightlife venue that takes its live music seriously, with huge homegrown and international names booked in on a regular basis. Non-blues fans shouldn’t be put off either as HOB also hosts everything from EDM and pop to acoustic and thrash metal.

Though located within the sprawling Walt Disney World Resort, Downtown Disney's nightlife zone is free for all to enter, so you don’t need a theme park day pass. Note that House of Blues Orlando charges for tickets to their ‘Main Stage’ on certain nights – it's a good idea to check their website for more details.

Started in 1992 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, House of Blues Orlando is part of the US chain of entertainment venues which have spread to over a dozen cities across the country. You’ll find more outlets in New Orleans, Chicago, LA and Boston, just to name a few.

Dining at House of Blues Orlando

Dining at this Orlando spot offers quality American comfort food served in generous portions at reasonable prices. The menu stretches from no-nonsense American classics like mac & cheese, burgers, chicken wings and jambalaya, to more refined dishes such as freshly grilled fish, salads, and light pasta. The drinks menu is just as comprehensive, with domestic and international labels of beer, wine, spirits and all your usual cocktails.

Come to House of Blues Orlando for the music, to see the impressively huge interior, for the safe-bet food, or just to say you’ve been to one of Orlando’s most famous nightlife institutions. There is a shuttle service that runs close to the venue, which, by the way, is surrounded by dozens of restaurants, bars, and live music clubs.
