Soi Green Mango is the beating heart of Samui's nightlife, home to cheap beverages, loud music and good times. The highlight of the street is the namesake establishment at the very end of the road – The Green Mango Club, which has been an institution of Chaweng’s nightlife for decades.

There are a good few beer bars and a couple of go-go bars to be found here. The popularity of the street has started to slip in recent years, but Soi Green Mango still has a lot to offer once it comes to life after midnight. Soi Green Mango forms a loop heading inland off the northern end of Chaweng Beach Road. The entrance is lit by bright signs and banners.

The Green Mango Club Samui is an iconic nightclub on Koh Samui that’s also a star attraction of Chaweng Beach’s nightlife. It even gave its name to the street it effectively dominates – Soi Green Mango. It's a large, colorful, fun and lively place and an absolutely essential stop on any night of partying in Chaweng. The music ranges from party pop and R'n'B to house and EDM.

The club is right at the end of Soi Green Mango, where the partying only really gets started at midnight. Although the closing time is listed as 2 am, The Green Mango Club routinely stays open until 5 am in high season. Despite being one of the biggest dance floors in Koh Samui (assuming you don’t count the beach), the place is packed most nights.

Hush is one of the smaller bars on Soi Green Mango, yet also one of the most popular. It features live DJs playing the best hip-hop, creating a fantastic party atmosphere. Beverages are reasonably priced, with buy-one-get-one-free on buckets during happy hour, as well as great deals on shots.

They have their own signature shots, with names too fruity to write here. To some extent, that is the tone of the bar, which has scantily-clad staff and a raunchy atmosphere.

Open: Daily from 10 pm to 3 am

    Our Bar Irish Pub

Our Bar is a classic example of a traditional Irish bar, with more focus on creating a fun, friendly and welcoming atmosphere (the craic) than the theme pub-style décor.

A simple sort of place, its enduring popularity comes from friendly staff and great service, as well as good prices and a good selection of beverages – naturally including draught Guinness. No nightlife hub in Thailand is complete without an Irish bar, it seems, and Soi Green Mango is no exception.

Open: Daily from 6 pm to 3 am

Sweet Soul Café is an institution on Samui and is located in the epicenter of Soi Green Mango. It's popular with both locals and tourists alike and is one of the liveliest places in Chaweng. A full range of cocktails, shooters and beers are available and the staff members are all very friendly. Music tends to be a mixture of top 40 dance, R'n'B, and hip-hop tunes played at maximum volume.

It's a great place to go if you want a rowdy night out on the town, but not somewhere to go if you want to chill. Check out the Jägermeister machine at the back of the bar that dispenses ice-cold shots to liven you up.

    Galaxy Samui

Styling itself as a “world-class erotic cabaret club”, Galaxy Samui is effectively a high-end go-go bar with Russian and Eastern European dancers. Significantly more expensive than Thai-style bars nearby, you do at least get what you pay for.

You can expect bottle service and exciting special dances and performances, as well as private rooms for groups. Located in one of the darker sections of Soi Green Mango, opposite Hush bar, the interior is very plush and swanky.

    Viking Bar

With a name like Viking Bar and a distinctive yellow and blue color scheme, the Swedish association is a strong one. The popular Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and English music also attracts the Scandinavian travelers, though all are welcome to this friendly little establishment.

It has a fun atmosphere, created in part by the various drinking contests, including the yard of ale challenge. Beverages prices are pretty competitive, with bottles of Chang and buckets of liquor being the order of the day for most customers.

    Dream Girls

The only Thai-style go-go bar in the whole of Soi Green Mango, Dream Girls is quite small and simple. It features comfortable tiered seating around the outside of the room and a ring of bar stools right by the revolving stage. That’s about as racy as it gets because there are no raunchy shows or special acts.

The girls are quite shy about coming to sit with customers but are nice and friendly once they do. Naturally, it's one of the priciest places on the street.

Food Point on Soi Green Mango

No night out in Chaweng is complete without some tasty fried food to help soak up some of the alcohol. Fortunately, Food Point is ready to serve you all the traditional late-night treats.

Technically a collection of outlets, prices are reasonable for the customary kebab, slice of pizza, sandwich, hot dog, ice cream or more traditional Thai dishes. You can order your meal to take away or take a seat at the shared seating in from of the food stalls.
