    Union Square is one of the main shopping malls in Aberdeen, and the fanatic shopper can browse the store displays for hours straight. Union Square Shopping Center, conveniently located in the heart of the city, has over 60 shops and more than 15 restaurants.

    If you target brands, you'll be pleased with Hugo Boss, The North Face, and Marks and Spencer department stores within the mall's walls. The dining options consist of international restaurants, coffee bars and a couple of fast-food chains.     The monthly Aberdeen Farmers’ Market is a fantastic alternate to indoor shopping malls. On the last Saturday of each month, local food producers display their fruits, vegetables, meats, and bakery items in a park along Belmont Street.

    Besides the selection of fresh produce straight from the land and the baking oven, the Aberdeen Farmers' Market has plenty of stalls selling hand-crafted gifts, jewelry, and home decor. It's lovely to stroll around the peaceful Union Terrace Gardens, just a few minutes away on foot.

    George Street

    Take a stroll along this lane in Aberdeen’s heart

    Beach Boulevard Retail Park is basically a collection of superstores and an excellent place to explore on a rainy day. Look for household accessories in the Dunelm store, or enjoy a moment in Pausa Coffee Shop. Budget-conscious shoppers will be pleased with the presence of Home Bargains, where you can browse household items, food and toys at desirable prices.

    Beach Boulevard Retail Park is near the coast, so you can take a break from shopping when the weather allows it and soak up the silky breeze of the North Sea.

    Union Street

    Enjoy a shopping spree in the center of the city

    While most people are drawn to the main malls around Union Street, this road has its own fair share of retail stores and restaurants. The vast selection of shops along Union Street draws a diverse crowd. Here, you can look for bargains at Poundland, scan Gift Wrap for Scottish souvenirs, and find dazzling accessories at the well-established jeweler Jamieson & Carry.

    If you start building up an appetite during browsing, Union Street is packed with heaps of restaurants with international cuisines and cozy cafes. If you’re planning a trip around Scotland, you can head for the Visit Scotland information center in Union Street to collect tips for your journey.

    Market Street

    Look for specialty shops near the harbor

    Market Street houses several restaurants and shops, the latter mainly aimed at hobbyists. Especially in the northeastern section of Market Street, you’ll find specialty stores, such as camera stores and Gamola Golf where you can buy equipment to be active on the golf course.

    Market Street has some snuggly bars and cafes as well, which provide a place to let go of your heavy shopping bags for a while. We recommend visiting The Kirk of St. Nicholas, a stunning 12th-century cathedral just north of the street.

    Scotland’s Bothy

    Bring home some typical Scottish souvenirs

    Scotland’s Bothy is a souvenir shop that almost depicts a cushy Scottish hut in central Aberdeen. Full of Scottish memorabilia, it’s a pilgrimage destination for true admirers of the country.
