    Mercado Campesino

    A bustling farmers’ market with great local foods

    Mercado Campesino is one of the most active farmers’ markets in the center of Monterrey and features dozens of food stalls. Located in-between the Mitras Centro neighbourhood and Industrial neighbourhood, this market is just a few blocks from multiple metro stations and has plenty of street parking nearby, making it easy to get to from anywhere downtown.

    At the market, you can find dozens of stalls ranging from local artists and farmers to food stalls serving traditional dishes like tacos, gorditas (a stuffed-maize pastry dish), and more. Since this market gets very busy in the middle of the day, you may want to arrive earlier in the day or in the middle of the afternoon to avoid peak crowds.
