Phnom Penh restaurants range from budget noodle shops, Khmer and French diners to contemporary delis and cafés. There are many restaurants in Phnom Penh with unique design themes and original décor. Besides fast food, you can find most types of western food at American, British, and Irish pubs, bars and restaurants. Because Cambodia was a French colony, it's not surprising that many of Phnom Penh’s finest restaurants specialize in French cuisine.

World cuisines in Phnom Penh include Mexican, Italian, German, Greek and English to Indian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian and Thai. Of course, most restaurants in Phnom Penh are Khmer. Some areas of the city have a greater concentration of eateries, such as the riverfront along Sisowath Quay and Boeung Keng Kang 1.
