We just needed a fair priced place to stay for one night that was close to Day out with Thomas. This hotel fit the bill and had good ratings. There weren’t really any bells or whistles, but it was clean, felt safe, and was quiet. Honestly, it’s a very cutesy hotel overlooking the river, it just needs a bit of tlc to keep up with times. The pool was out of commission, the drink machine was not working, and the internet was down. Safety wise, I feel like updating the room doors and the knobs/ locking mechanisms would be ideal. My two year old was constantly unlocking the doors, and she could just about squeeze between the chain lock if she tried hard enough. I also wished there was a lamp or something in the room, instead of the singular wall light, which was really bright. Lastly, blinds on the front windows or thicker blackout curtains would be better. I didn’t feel 100% with just the thin curtains hanging there. All in all though, I’d stay here again if we were ever back in the area.
