We had reserved this hotel in advanced, selecting a specific room category. However, upon arrival, after driving more than two and a half hours to reach the resort, we were informed that the room we had booked and paid for was no longer available.
The only alternatives proposed by the hotel were either to accept a very basic room with breakfast included as compensation, or to cancel the reservation altogether. This proposal was particularly inappropriate given that we are currently observing Ramadan, and the breakfast offered therefore had no value for us.
After making a long trip specifically to stay at this hotel, being placed in such a situation is extremely disappointing and reflects a lack of professionalism in the management of confirmed reservations.
