Kuala Lumpur International Airport is the closest airport to the city. It is served by many budget and major airlines which fly between Kuala Lumpur and many international cities on a regular (if not daily) basis. Once at the airport you can either visit one of the car rental desks to hire a car or head to the airport’s train station. From here you can take the KLIA Ekspress trains to the city center. The journey takes only 28 minutes and the trains run every 15 minutes. Within the city, it’s easy to hire a cab to get around as a family, or take the bus or train on the local network.
