Nice touch with an array of guest amenities eg hairbrushes, tea bags, face creams etc & eatery…Great location too , across the road from the Kyoto national garden & walking distance to bus lines that will take you to a number of local temples & shrines.."

"I thought the environment and the staff were very friendly and cozy. It’s a short walk from any convenience store and Nishiki market is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. The onsen is definitely a plus after a long day of walking. "

"The dinner and breakfast I purchased were generally good, but some ingredients such as the fruits and sashimi were dry and stale, as if they had been refrigerated for a substaintial amount of time before serving. The ammenities are nice, and the hot bath was relaxing."

"Overall my best stay in Japan, staying in budget friendly option, the only one, I would strongly sugest to stay on. There is a nearby bus stop, that can take you to most places in Kyoto within a 30 mins time. 24/7 front desk staff that was so helpful, you can wash for 300 yens and dry your close in the hotel for 100 yens. Best value. I would stay here again."

"This lovely hotel is located 2 blocks from a city bus line. There are a variety of small restaurants nearby. There is even a karaoke bar-Bar Dam-that was a blast to sing at with locals. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay and I would vacation here again."
