"We get there after a bad experience with another hotel in Chicago and this was a “Eureka”!!! The hotel is comfortable and well maintained, next door is a Coffee Shop (They give you a 10% discount card at the Front Desk) Is literally across the street from China Town and a Walgreens, at walking distance from the water taxi and the public transportation. "Older property but locations is great! One block from miracle mile. Rooftop bar was great. Staff wonderful! Had a fitness center that I didn’t use but it was quite large with lots of equipment. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not spectacular. The bus stop is one block from hotel and runs frequently if you need to go downtown. Also can want subway station to go back and forth from airport. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby!"

"This was a wonderful place to stay for a night in Chicago! We got an excellent lunch recommendation from the bellhop, great communication from the front desk, some nice small perks (10% discount at the bar/restaurant, two complimentary bottles of water in the room, etc.). "The Freehand is my go to place every time I'm in Chicago. It is a bohemian treasure and attracts interesting tourists, many from Europe. Good location, just by Eataly in the River North area, and I always have no trouble finding nearby parking on SpotHero. I've stayed here a few times now, and it feels like my 2nd home in Chicago.
