"My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. We had a spacious room with traditonal Japanese tea side, within walking distance to a lot of the main Kyoto temples and shrines. The bussling city center is about a 15 minute walk. The hotel has a coin washer/dryer and nearby convenience stores. The staf was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel."

"The room was very spacious, which in Japan is not a given, and it had a washing machine which was great as we were half-way through our two-week trip. The location is great for Gion attractions and quiet, with a great ramen place opposite where we ate twice a great lunch to keep us going."

We ended up using taxi a lot which is extra expenses, but the location is still amazing since it’s so close to Kiyomizu-dera temple. "Kyokoi Chikurintei is a beautiful property in a quiet neighbourhood. Its a lovely stroll to shopping, temples and shrines, and a quick walk to a bus line. The home itself is really unique - that glass floor is amazing! The soaking tub, small courtyard, tatami room, and comfy bedroom are highlights. The hosts reply to messages quickly, checking in is super easy. I highly recommend this property, we just loved it."
