Riverbend Music Center Introduction

Set on the banks of the Ohio River, The Riverbend Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater which can hold 20,500 people - 6,000 of them under cover. It was built in 1984, originally for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, to allow them to play in an outdoor venue during the summer. It's now used for all genres of music and hosts many music festivals. An additional pavilion was built in 1984 with a seated capacity of 4,100. The venue is next to Coney Island, a vintage amusement park with bumper boats and a large pool with slides and diving boards.

As the music center is out of town, public transport is available but not extensive. However the venue is very accessible by car with the exit from Interstate 275 close by. Parking is included in the price of every ticket and additional parking for big events is available at Coney Island. Cincinnati Municipal Airport-Lunken Field is 4.9 miles away, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is 16.8 miles away, which can be reached by travelling west on I-275. The city’s Union Terminal is 10.8 miles from the venue.
