There are several budget inns clustered along the SR-3 and SR-120 roads, which have a more urban appeal. For more upmarket scene, head to Midtown Manhattan, 7 miles east through the Lincoln Tunnel.

The State Fair Meadowlands is a 6-minute walk from the stadium, which hosts a large fairground during the summer. You can catch a horse race at the Meadowlands Racetrack, a 22-minute walk from the MetLife Stadium. Overlooking the Hackensack River, the Richard w De Korte Park is 4.8 miles from the football arena. It offers scenic wildlife trails, where you can spot great blue herons, snowy egrets and racoons, plus an Environment Center with many hands-on exhibits. Times Square and the iconic Empire State Building in New York City is only 7.6 miles from the stadium.

How to get to MetLife Stadium

A mile from I-95 and SR-3, the MetLife Stadium is easy to reach by car and offers plenty of on-site parking facilities. If you're traveling by rail, it's a 3-minute walk from the Meadowlands Sports Complex station, where trains into Manhattan take around 40 minutes. There's also an express bus service from Port Authority Bus Terminal in downtown Manhattan, which can take around 20 minutes on match days. The nearest commercial airport is Newark Liberty International Airport, which lies 13.7 miles south of the stadium, while the closest Amtrak is Newark Penn Station, 9.4 miles away.
