Los Angeles Forum Introduction

If you're flying into Los Angeles Airport from the east, you may be able to spot the striking white and red Los Angeles Forum as you land. This indoor arena, usually known simply as the Forum, opened in 1967 and used to be the home of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, and the Los Angeles Kings NHL hockey team. Nowadays, this innovatively designed arena, which seats 17,500 people, hosts major concerts, shows, and sporting events. It's in the South Bay region of the Greater Los Angeles area, where you'll find plenty of places to shop and eat in the city's shopping malls.
