How to get to Bar Harbor, ME (BHB-Hancock County - Bar Harbor)

Direct flights from Boston’s Logan International to Hancock County – Bar Harbor Airport are operated by Cape Air and PenAir, with a typical flight time of just under 1 hour. Once you’ve landed it’s a 12 mile journey to Bar Harbor town, which you can make by rental car, taxi or bus. Cars and taxis can both be sought out at the airport, with a drive time of around 20 minutes. From late June through to Columbus Day in early October, the Island Explorer ‘campgrounds’ bus provides regular connections from the airport to Mount Desert Island. Trips are free, and terminate at the Bar Harbor Village Green.
