Crabtree Valley Mall Introduction

Crabtree Valley Mall is one of the largest malls in the region, measuring over 1,300,000 square feet. Adjacent to Crabtree Creek, it opened in 1972. Since its inception, it has drawn visitors from across Central and Eastern North Carolina. Some of its original retailers were classic department stores, like Miller & Rhoads and Thalhimers. Today, it’s home to hundreds of chain stores and restaurants. The mall also hosts regular events, including food drives and concerts. It has also been the site of several entertainment industry casting calls, for films like Iron Man 3 and television programs such as American Idol.
