Hotels in Chicago near Soldier Field

Soldier Field Introduction

Opened in 1924, Soldier Field is one of the oldest football stadiums in the United States. Since 1971, it's been the home of the Chicago Bears National Football League (NFL) team. In 2002, it underwent major reconstruction which modernized the stadium, but this meant that it was no longer eligible to be on the National Historic Landmark registry. Located in scenic parkland in Chicago's South Loop overlooking Lake Michigan, the stadium holds nearly 67,000 people. Soldier Field is also a popular entertainment venue and hosts big-name concerts, shows, and other sporting events such as athletics.
