Kemah Boardwalk Introduction

Kemah Boardwalk is popular 60-acre amusement park on the shores of Clear Lake and Galveston Bay, about 30 miles southeast of downtown Houston. Opened in 1998, the park features a bustling boardwalk, carnival rides and 10 restaurants, as well as a boutique hotel, a charter yacht and several shops. Among the most popular rides is the Boardwalk Bullet, a high-speed wooden roller coaster that opened in 2007. The theme park is open every day of the year, and offers daily waterfront shows and festivals. Space Center Houston and the seaside resort city of Galveston are a short drive away.
